Panama City Hotel Offers Ultimate Room for Gamers

Hilton Hotels has teamed with Alienware to create what is described as the perfect hotel room for gamers in the Panama City Hilton.

Room 2425 in the Hilton Panama is equipped with everything the gamer could want in a hotel room. The layout includes top-end Alienware gaming PCs, high-definition displays, a state-of-the-art surround sound system and an Occulus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset.

The layout also includes a “racing simulator chair” with upholstery reportedly designed “using NASA’s Outcast technology” and a 65-inch 4K OLED TV.

But the set-up goes beyond tech. Every element is designed to please gamers. There is a beanbag chair, of course. And extra dark curtains to block out that annoying Panama sun and customizable, interactive colored lighting that responds to whatever game is being played.

For Hilton, the tricked-out room is more than a gimmick.

“This initiative shows how important it is for us to contribute to improving more and more the options of stay in Panama, directly impacting on the tourist offer offered by the country for locals and foreigners,” Andres Korngold, director of business development for Hilton Panama and Waldorf Astoria Panama, told Homecrux.

The room reportedly rents for $349 per night and features a fantastic view of Panama City—not that any gamers will care. Oh, and there is also two beds and a bathroom.
