Panama City Real Estate is Going Social

A new wave of modern technology is sweeping the Panama City real estate market and it can be a big advantage for savvy property buyers and investors.

Punta Pacifica Realty (PPR) representatives are joining more and more agents and real estate professionals in using chat programs with apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Chat and Blackberry Messenger to connect with each other and discuss local issues, hot property and the latest Panama City real estate news. Anywhere from 5 to 100 people may be participating in a discussion at any given time, allowing people to ask questions on topics ranging from the latest tax and visa laws to property in specific neighborhoods like Punta Pacifica and Costa del Este.

This is particularly valuable in Panama City, where gaining access to information or a good deal can often depend on who you know and what you know. The fledgling multiple listings service in Panama City is not very effective due to a lack of participation from many real estate  professionals in the city, meaning it’s difficult for buyers and agents to connect on many of the properties available. It’s also difficult to gather accurate information or get simple questions answered from reliable sources.

These new social media groups can help fill the gaps in communication in Panama City. Sure, everyone needs to be careful. It’s not always easy to gauge the professionalism or reputation of someone hosting a chat. Panama is full of dicey people who call themselves real estate “professionals” but in reality they aren’t… .

But these social groups can be a great way to engage with professionals and other interesting investors on common topics. Shopping for real estate in Panama City can often be a lonely experience and it’s difficult to know who to trust.

PPR agents are HIGHLY TRAINED and linked with many of the top experts around the city. They use the groups to share photos, details on property and answer questions about anything from commissions to the number of bathrooms in an apartment. The groups work around the clock, with participants able to post information at any time. Best of all – it’s free.

So how do you get involved? Typically as an real estate professional, you need to be invited to join. For more information, contact one of our friendly PPR sales people..
