Panama Vaccination Rate Hits 76.6%

The latest data released by the government shows that 76.6% of the population eligible for the COVID-19 vaccines have received their shots.

The numbers are the result of a massive push in recent months to get the population vaccinations, as shots became more widely available. In total, more than 5.7 million shots have been administered to more people.

This has been an extraordinarily difficult time for every country of the world, but it’s clear that Panama Real Estate has turned the corner as more vaccines become available. Earlier this month, 97,000 new doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in the country, according to news reports.

The Ministry of Health has also announced that booster shots are now available for people in select groups who have already received the first two vaccinations. Eligible groups include health workers, adults over 55, and people in nursing homes.

The booster doses will also be applied to people between 18 and 54 years of age with high-risk occupations of contracting Covid-19 and with chronic diseases from six months after their second dose is applied. from AstraZeneca or Pfizer, according to the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre.
