Panama Reinforces Its Global Tourism Vision
The launch of the 2026 international tourism circuit saw Panama reinforcing its position as a key gateway to the European travel market. During FITUR 2026 in Madrid, a high-level delegation advanced a focused narrative centered on culture, innovation, and sustainable tourism growth, aligning destination promotion with long-term economic strategy. This participation forms part of a broader national effort to attract high-value travelers and consolidate Panama’s status as a Tier-1 global destination.
The country’s presence was led by 34 companies alongside PROMTUR Panama, highlighting Panama City as the only capital in the world recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy. This positioning was brought to life through curated gastronomic experiences and Geisha coffee tastings, designed to communicate Panama’s premium lifestyle offering to influential international tour operators.
The initiative resulted in more than 1,000 business-to-business meetings and over 40 strategic meetings with airlines and global tour operators. These engagements are essential to strengthening air connectivity, sustaining international destination visibility, and attracting high-net-worth travelers. From an investment perspective, this sustained exposure serves as a strong indicator of economic resilience, as a growing tourism sector in Panama directly supports demand, stability, and luxury real estate value appreciation.
At Punta Pacifica Realty, this national vision is reflected through Spotlight to Panama, which serves as a window into the lifestyle drivers, market trends, and investment fundamentals that continue to position Panama as a compelling destination for capital diversification and long-term value.
