Forbes Spotlights Panama as ‘Next Luxury Hot Spot’

Panama receives plenty of international coverage as one of the world’s top tourism destinations, but a recent article in one of the world’s top business publications stands out.

The Forbes feature is headlined, “How Panama Is Becoming the Next Luxury Hot Spot” and urges readers to act now to enjoy all that Panama has to offer. “While many changes await for Panama, here’s why our Forbes Travel Guide editors think you should beat the crowds and go now,” the writers explain.

Author Jennifer Kester focuses on the wide array of recent additions in Panama City, from the opening of Soho mall to Ritz Carlton’s plans to open two resorts in Panama by 2018. She also offers tips for visiting Panama, including a stop in Punta Pacifica, “a tony residential neighbor,” for a “less touristy” experience.

Special focus is paid to the Trump Ocean Club:

“The 70-story sailboat-shaped building stands out on the city skyline. But what’s more impressive are the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the waterfront hotel’s chic guest rooms, the sexy deck where you can choose among five pools or simply sprawl out on a chaise lounge in front of an infinity pool that seems to drop off into the ocean, and the casino, whose 66th high-roller floor affords stunning vistas.”

The article stands out as more than a travelogue. With Forbes focused on a smart, upscale audience, the author spotlighted Panama’s solid international economy, in addition to its beauty as a travel destination.
