Panama Named Top Spot for Property Investment

Another international analyst has concluded that Panama is one of the best places in the world for real estate investment.

Live and Invest Overseas, described as “the leading resource for people who want to live, retire, and invest overseas,” named six countries as the best in the world for real estate investment, with Panama at the top of the list. Countries were evaluated on an array of factors, but the top countries “offer untapped, and in some cases, depressed real estate markets, plus additional investment incentives like exchange rate discounts, favorable financing terms, and other perks.”

Panama has been “a top market for investors” for nearly 20 years and offers a “strong and diversified economy,” the site notes. The article singles out the Pacific Coast as a “phenomenal opportunity,” but that only scratches the surface. As we’ve noted in recent articles, Panama City is in the midst of a fundamental shift, as supply dries up and international buyers flee instability and soaring prices in their home countries.

In addition to Panama, the publication identified Colombia, Brazil, Montenegro, Morocco, and the Philippines as top investment spots.

“With our list, we hope property investors will consider buying real estate in a country where they like spending time and can visit for a vacation getaway, but for the remainder of the year can rent it out for extra income,” Lief Simon, global property investment expert with Live and Invest Overseas said in a release. “Unlike stocks and shares, real estate is a tangible asset and the pandemic shouldn’t deter investors from capitalizing on major international opportunities to grow their portfolios and secure a better future.”
