Stem Cell Center Brings Celebrities to Punta Pacifica

A new state-of-the-art stem cell treatment center is attracting a wide range of medical tourists and sports celebrities to Punta Pacifica.

Described as the largest private stem cell center in the world, spanning the entire 48th floor, Auragens Stem Cell Center opened June 5 in Oceania Business Plaza, adjacent to the Pacifica Salud Hospital, a Johns Hopkins international partner. Auragens offers a wide range of biological therapies to bring patients back to “a state of homeostasis,” which is defined as a “balance among all the body systems needed for the body to function correctly.”

In the short time since it opened its doors, Auragens has hosted patients from around the world, including celebrities such as former NFL star Jeremy Shockey, Wimbledon finalist Genie Bouchard, FOX NFL commentator Jay Glazer, and model and actress Rosie Tenison.

Auragens adds a new player to Panama City’s elite healthcare offering, which attracts visitors from around the world. Medical tourism is big business and Panama is at the forefront, providing top-level services and treatments, often at a fraction of the cost of other countries.

For PPR, healthcare companies provide a steady stream of tenants and buyers for our clients. We’ve been collaborating with Auragens, for example, to assist in finding housing for their foreign doctors.

Auragens promotes its center as a 5-star luxury travel destination. Patients stay at the J.W. Marriott, chauffeured around the city and hosted by a dedicated Patient Experience Executive. Visits include a cultural immersion tour, as well as nutrition and MIND performance programs.

“The Auragens program is the opposite of a sterile medical visit,” says Auragen Chief Commercial Officer Tony Paoli. It is a personalized journey where we seek to understand the needs of the patient and then implement our cutting-edge science and technology to meet those needs, all while also providing an unforgettable luxury vacation experience.”

Auragens staff is comprised of Doctors, PhDs, and scientists from Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Pepperdine, Columbia, and Baylor with over 75 years of collective experience in cellular medicine. The center offers regenerative cellular treatments using human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells that are ethically sourced and donated for the advancement of science.

Treatments for diseases and conditions are provided in orthopedics, cardiovascular, autoimmune, pulmonary, neurological, healthy aging, aesthetic rejuvenation, and adolescent autism. In addition to stem cell therapy, Auragens offers patients a variety of treatment enhancements during their trip, such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, vibrotactile stimulation therapy, cryo and compression therapy, and vitamin IVs.
