Trump Ocean Club Readies Casino for Grand Opening

The Trump Ocean Club is the centerpiece of Punta Pacifica, both in the sense of the property market and from a social perspective. Life in this exciting neighborhood of high-rise luxury apartments just seems to naturally revolve around the Trump.

Now the Trump is about to get an exciting new addition. Management told residents last week that the long-awaited casino is set to open in September. They also sent out pictures, which you can review below.

This will be no ordinary casino. It will be the largest in the region, covering 75,000 square feet, with 32 gaming tables for blackjack, poker, roulette, baccarat and more. It will be operated by South Africa-based Sun International, which is reportedly spending $60 million to help build out and establish the casino, which is located on the mezzanine floor and accessible through a separate lobby.

Sun is one of the world’s most-respected casino operators, with a portfolio of 27 resorts and casinos in eight countries. It’s been known for casinos in Sun City, as well as the Monticello Grand Casino, in Santiago, Chile, the company’s only other operation in Latin America. Sun is also taking over a top floor in the tower for private, high-roller gamblers.

Here at Punta Pacifica Realty, we’ve been involved with the Trump since the start and this represents a significant milestone for the iconic project. This is going to be a top-of-the-line operation and help cement Punta Pacifica’s position as the premier luxury property destination in Panama City.
